Contact Improvisation with Shalika Wolf

Thursdays 7.30 - 9.30pm weekly

'Contact Improvisation is an open-ended exploration of the kinaesthetic possibilities of bodies moving through contact. Sometimes wild and athletic, sometimes quiet and meditative, it is a form open to all bodies and enquiring minds. The practice includes rolling, falling, being upside down, following a physical point of contact, supporting and giving weight to a partner. It is a free play with balance, of no set outcome, bringing forth a physical/emotional truth about a shared moment of movement that leaves the participants informed, centered, and enlivened.'

This Dance Class and Jam is friendly for all abilities and experience. Additional guidance and variations are provided for people that are complete beginners, advanced in the practice or are experiencing limited movement capacity. All are welcome and appreciated in this space.
