Friday Dinner 7-9pm
Sunday Breakfast 10-12;  Lunch 12.30-3pm

In the historic Port of Penryn, on the award winning Jubilee Wharf, you will find the quirky Miss Peapod's kitchen cafe. Located on the estuary with lovely views, this place is a hidden gem.

They do food every day except Monday and an evening meal once a week on Fridays. with the proper menu starting from 7pm until 9pm.  They show a Film at 9pm which is always free. See our What's On page or Miss Peapod's website for listings.

Saturday nights are reserved for live music -eclectic mix from Syrian rappers via London electro poppers to gentle folk . There is no food on Saturday evenings usually. On Sundays however, there is a legendary Roast supplied by Cusgarne Organic Farm.

They have been open 3 years now and have collected awards from Taste of the West and won this year, BEST CAFE 2009 from the Cornish tourism Awards.

They strike a balance between the comfort of home cooking and Mediterranean sensibilties- so they make their own pasta and bread and exploit all the seafood brought to them from a local fisherman.
Expect specials like crab ravioli and fresh Sardines , King prawns grilled in caper, chilli and parsley butter or for people with more simple tastes we have homemade burgers with chips and toasted ciabattas with fillings such as roasted seasonal vegetables and homemade butter bean hummous.

For pudding there is a fleet of delicious cakes and Callesticks Cornish icecreams and specials at the weekends such as Chocolate and Orange mousse or Rubarb cheesecake, which they make all themselves.

They have a play area with a wooden kitchen, garage and lots of other toys and books. Comfortable sofa corners allow for cosy private coffees or meetings and free WI- FI means you can catch up.  All of this provides for a good lunch out. Our friday evenings give you a lantern lit special meal and a film for afterwards.

Out on the decking (built from sustainable F.S.C timber ) you can watch the boats go by up the river, whilst enjoying a fair trade organic coffee from a local family business, Origin Coffee

Miss.Peapod's has been built using pioneering techniques of eco-development, designed by Bill Dunster's Z.E.D Factory. They have wind turbines, solar panels, a wood chip boiler plus super insulation, this means the walls are at least 2 foot thick which has proved useful for when they have D.J's and bands in the evenings!
